The fun thing about a new year is the planning and creating of new art collections under my art design name, The Creative Season.
There are new projects and collections I’m so excited to share with you, but it’s a little early yet…
So for now, here are two brand new paintings for the new year.
Both are full of color and lots of anticipation.
And that is the name of the first painting, ‘Anticipation.’
It’s been my heart’s desires to get married and have my own family for many, many years. I don’t know why what a normative experience for some is so difficult for others (that would be me). We all have our own tough spots in life, right?
Towards the end of last year, there was a renewed hope that 2020 might be the year a romance and marriage would happen for me. In that hopeful expectation, the painting, ‘Anticipation’ was created.
It ended up being created quiet quickly at the end of January after a slew of other paintings did not turn out AT. ALL.
January was a challenging month of creating. It wasn’t until the last week when the art popped off the canvas and colors, subject and everything came together! This beautiful bouquet is going all over the place. It’s not terribly refined or organized but it is beautiful, rejoicing and celebratory, a bit like how I feel this year!
The second painting is titled, ‘Outlook.’
No matter how hopeful we are about the present and future, no matter how much we plan and work, we still can’t see what’s coming down the road, right around that curve.
I’ve learned my attitude is most important and secondly, to let go of outcomes. I can’t see around the bend, so let go. I can’t control outcomes, but I can control my outlook.
2020 is already unwinding in front of us!
What are you looking forward to this year? Are you anticipating anything exciting? I would love to hear what you are working on creating this year. Drop me an email email@example.com
